We’ve got just the place to go! Head on down to good old Cowboy Country here at Anchor D, nestled right at the edge of beautiful Kananaskis Country. Book our log cabin for a night and awake the next morning to the sights and sounds of our many four legged friends in the rolling hills surrounding you. After that hot cup of coffee and a bite to eat, head up to the corral and join us for a Ranch Day Ride out in the Foothills. We will take you up to the top of ridges and along many scenic trails where you can capture magnificient views of the Rockies on one side, and the foothills and prairies on the other; or cross the Sheep River to explore even more unforgettable country. We will stop along the way for lunch before winding our way back to the Ranch, covering several miles of high ridges and valleys. Cost $399.00 + gst (2 people).

Weekend Getaway

Looking for a great place to escape for the weekend?

Whether you are a family or a couple looking for a romantic getaway, we can accommodate you. Grandpa’s Cabin awaits your arrival! We have a beautiful log cabin equipped with all the amenities you require.

Arrive at the Ranch Friday evening and get settled into the cabin while listening to a crackling fire. Saturday morning join us for a two hour trail ride in the Kananaskis foothills along "Carrie Ridge", named after the original homesteader of the Ranch. After lunch join us once again, for another two hours, out in the hills for our famous “John Ware” trail ride. Make sure to bring your camera for shots of breathtaking scenery! Head back to the Ranch at dinner time to enjoy a night of relaxing at your campfire right outside your front door. Sunday morning head back up to the corral for our highly poplular half day ride, “Over the Edge”. You will have the chance to cross rivers and view amazing sights along the way, arriving back at the Ranch at 1 p.m., just in time to pack up and head home with fond memories of an incredible weekend!
